Michael Johnson has been a staple of every mad-Scientist's playlist ever since
his 2004 debut "NonSense Goes Mudslide". He has since recorded under the moniker
"Ape School". Ape School's debut has been picked up by a division of Ninja Tune;
Counter Records. In the mix of this creativity comes a double-album set:

Primitive Evidence I

Primitive Evidence II

In own words:

"Circa 1999, I purchased a synthesizer and a looping delay. Coupled with a Kluster obsession,
this led me to strange new worlds of skronk. Circa 2000, I purchased a home computer.
Armed with my synth, looper, and the magic ofnon-linear audio editing, I began to obsessively
record two or three songs a week. These songs are the cream of that bountiful crop. A bit raw
around the edges, to be sure, but a little piece of me all the same."
