OFFBEAT is a slow and mellow experience brought to you by Aaron Embry and coL. Ambient soundscapes that were created over several nights in Embry's home studio in 1998. "This is a perfect example of coL's unique ability to transmute his collaborator's inhibitions and shortcomings. I usually require a tedious preparation before going into the studio, and anything i've heard of my participation in free improvisations, shows my complete absence of attention to the delicate nature of Spon-taneousmusic. coL is an incredible facilitator of the now-factor in art and music in his collaborations, as well as his solo work.
